T.J. Holmes, Who is he?

From the Editor
We have a lot to be thankful for folks. I wish each and every one of you a blessed and safe Thanksgiving.
Each year I announce a topic for your Thanksgiving, after dinner, family bonding  discussion. This year's topic is community grants. What is a grant? How do you receive one? These are just some of the questions that will be answered on my Twitter (@Whatisyourpoint) this week. Just a reminder that I am moving out of the state of Delaware at the end of this month.  I will keep you informed as to when the H.E.L.P. Forward hotline will be up and running.  You may also go to my official web site address of sherleneonline.com

The December hosted event theme is (Global) Family Holiday Traditions. I may upload December' s songs and FavVideos early due to relocation.

The New Monday Show
Last night's discussion included descriptions of events that occur when God (Yahweh, Allah) commands a generational (family) curse. When God curses a thing or a person no man-woman-child can bless it unless God permits. sherleneonline.org 24/7

Let's talk T.J. Holmes
For those of you that do not know who TJ is, he is an educated African American man that quit his nice job at CNN to host his own show (Don't Sleep) on the BET channel.  BET is short for Black Entertainment Television which has become more diverse, I might add, since the original owner sold it. Any way, TJ was excited about helping to educate blacks about current news including politics. Now you know I tend to get my best naps in during political events so I am not really into his show, I am sorry. Do you have an opinion about his show? The important thing to note is that TJ's viewers were high just before the election, and now they have dwindled down in the ratings.  Why is it that black people do not watch a channel of national minority news? I believe that his show is competing with late night local news. I would rather hear about what is going on in my local community than nationally (e.g., weather alert, etc) at 11:00 p.m. How do you believe he could address such topics? His studio is in New York. Personally, I feel sorry for him because he left CNN. Do you feel ashamed when watching a channel station that is specifically dedicated to your own ethnicity? Or have we become more multicultural sensitive in all forms of learning, and feel no need to address only black topics or white topics?

Facts about TJ
  • Both his parents graduated from college.

  • He feels that he has a duty to help in changing our communities.
