Sherlene Stevens: The Gayish Americas

Simply put--As it were, there is nothing new under the sun. (Or for this week's topic, there is nothing new of humanly actions of distinct sexual emotions and behaviors within the earth realm). The following sexual behaviors can not really be summarized into specific sexual styles. Each person's participation is unique which causes more anxiety by straight people of the meaning of, you know, "them kind". Don't believe me? Just ask anyone who considers themselves to be of the LGBTQ gender-community. Though today's world offers more clarity of these group-name labels:

L esbian
G ay
B isexual
T ransgender

Is America really the land that is made for both "you and me"? -(This Land is Your Land song)

As we are so eager to express, "North America's continental land is the symbol of democracy to be acknowledged by the rest of the world's continents." And with that being said, the reality is, all other continents acknowledge the fact that our united states have a well-known history of sexual flirtations--if I may say--of the described LGBTQ community. American history is full of individuals who discreetly or openly have had sex with the same gender. Some founders of our local lands of states. Some religious leaders of our most cherished religious sects. Some military soldiers who've earned high-ranking medals. Some CEOs of our largest companies. Some mom-and-pop shops in a local town near you. In other words, same gender-and-same gender shops. If enough of such sexual desires, will there be added generations within our local towns and cities? How many of our citizens have publicly hidden their lovers after making love to them? in public bathrooms? How many, after taking time out of their ordinary busy lifestyles, to secretly have closet affairs with the same sex?

If you are a faith believer, of any religion, then you probably have read the beginning chapters found in the Holy Scriptures. There are descriptive verses that discuss lands being over taken by such defined sexual behaviors. Individuals that have such a lust attitude for their own gender identity, or who would rather not even identify with their obvious born-gender identity. Generations are steadily losing traditional traits associated with each gender--humankind female or male gender: pink or pastels for girls and blue and dark colors for boys.

Do you really think the reality, of this-here continental land, offers consistent history of all straight or heterosexual individuals, partners and couples?  There has been a real wakening of the opposite of traditional sexual lifestyles within our country.  Is this land really made for the LGBTQ and straights as the historical lyrics would like to suggest? There are gays who realize the decline of same-sex gender sexual opportunities. They want it, they want you. When such choice can't be found the idea is to begin to persuade "the straights." Aren't you curious? Aren't you bored of traditional sex actions with your mate? You've heard the saying, Once you try black you will never turn back." Well the gays have a saying too: It's like no other sex, don't you want to try it?

It was easy to rephrase the lyrics for this week's article of the popular song that most of us learned in our local, public-schooling system's music class. I beg to ask you, though, do you think that yesterday's [years or even decades ago] music teachers would have been so eager to suggest reversing the labels of bathrooms nearest their classrooms?

When individuals sing there are classifications of voice tones.  When we all sing together you are able to hear the uniqueness of blended sounds.  Does such humanly actions only apply to the music genre?  Is it possible to identify who is gay within our lands like when there is a difference in voice tones? Simply by the way one talks? one walks? Or even, what colors one chooses to wear? Myth: Some say gays are easy to identify because they blend many colorful designs within their wardrobes and hairstyles.

Have we no empathy? There are some individuals, that are quietly hoping, anxiously hoping, that we will one day truly sing the song with the humanly meaning of compassion as suggested by its creator. Will we ever have such unison of singing "This land was made for you and me"? ...This land was made for the LGBTQ and Straights as history is now retelling. The retelling of the gayish Americas.
