Chp.16 Exodus (Holy Bible)

Aired 4/18/2011.

Introduction:
Moses is the leader of the children of Israel (Jews).  Aaron (Haroun) is the speaker. Miriam is a female priest or prophetess and a praiser. She is also the sister of Moses and Aaron. The next two chapters discusses the needs and wants of freed people and how God (Yahweh, Allah) provides for humankind.

Chp. 16
16:2  Nope, here the people began complaining to the two leaders again.
16:3  We have the Israelites accusing Moses and Aaron of attempted murder of all the newly freed citizens.  Pharaoh had provided their wants only to have them nourished enough to be productive slaves for his needs and wants.
16:4  God provides and, yet, still tests us so that we trust only him.  If we trust him than we shall receive double for the trouble of trials and tribulations.
16:6  By evening, they will remember who truly brought them out of bondage.  Moses asks them, "Why do you complain to me..I am just a worker. Keep telling God..I know you can't see him, but you can talk to him..you can tell him about your needs and wants, and you can surely take time to thank him for what you do have and what you are going to receive."
16:10 My source say than an omer is about two quarts.  So each person received two quarts of Manna.
16:17 We are to receive what we need according to our jobs, family, and lifestyle necessities.  When we try to exceed without the blessing of God than we end up with less than we began with.  God always outweighs your Pharaoh or Satan.
16:20 They didn't obey their leader's instruction and what happened?
16:21  Sometimes leaders get frustrated and reveal it in an angry emotion.  An example is snow that reaches a warm surface. It breaks down and turns into water.
16:22  The Sabbath depends on your religion's practice.  Many religions acknowledges  it either Saturday or Sunday.  As it was in the beginning, God completed all of his work in six days (Book of Genesis). Families is this what you do to have more time with your household?  Mothers do you allow others to help prepare Sunday meals? Amen. The old folks express that the flavor is improved in meals prepared in advance.
16:27  There are some that still disobeyed their leader.
16:29 God made a new commandment. Everyone had to rest in their homes (bonding with their friends or family) on the seventh day, and only a few disobeyed.
16:31 God's blessing are not evil or bitter. That's the Devil's (Shaitan) job.
16:33 God gave a visual to allow all generations to see how he can bless.  They were fed on this stuff for 40 years.  The number 40 biblical meaning is testing of faith.  So, God wanted to know who would be with him when he brings them into their promise.

Season's Greeting to you and your family. May you have a prosperous and happy New Year.
