Exodus 19 - 26 (Holy Bible)

Chp. 19
19:5 So the children of Israel became God's chosen people. They were agreeing to be a land of priests.

Chp. 20
20:18 The chosen people were now afraid of God.
20:19 Moses adds God or I Am is only testing your faith so that you may learn to trust only in him.

Chp.21
Discusses rules and orders of the chosen people. The first verse in this chapter discusses indentured servants. The law of Slavery allowed for individuals to be slaves up to a maximum of seven years.  This is similar to our American tradition of writing off bad debt.

Vocab
Angels - are not to be worshipped. They are God's helpers. Angels never die. There are good and evil angels. The evil angels dwell in Hell.  God's angels are powerful and instructed by him only.  Angels have different work rankings and they are spirits. They are less in rankings than the Holy Spirit and can appear in the form of a human being. God requires organization in systems of his creatures.

Chp. 24
24:1 God told Moses, Aaron, Nadab, A-bi'hu to worship.
24:5 Notice that the sacrifices were not human sacrifices.
24:7 Notice that Moses read The Book of the Covenant. During this time in history, there were only a selected few that were allowed to read. Books were written on rolled paper called scrolls.
24:10 The elders and the leaders were able to see God.
24:11 With Jesus (Isa) the disciples ate and drank at a special supper, the Last Supper.
24:13 Moses is the leader and Joshua is his minister.
24:16 Moses patiently waited for God to talk with him. Today it would be referred to a prayer answered.
