Choosing a Toothpaste

From the Editor
Due to the recent changes in Public Education in our American schools, I am advocating homeschooling for your child from babies - Grade 2, or at least until they are able to read, write basic words, and are able to identify & count numbers and letters. In other words, don't send your children to school until they can comfortably do so. It's up to you--moms and dads, or guardians. Let's prepare the next generation that will be taking care of us when we get in our golden years! The newest edition of the Homeschooling Magazine is now available.
The New Monday Show (BlogTalk Radio, online radio broadcast, sherleneonline.org)
Last night's show was awesome. An angel saved an animal and its master from destruction. It relates right to our April theme of family bonding. If you weren't able to listen to the live broadcast please take a moment to participate in this unique family bonding show. Your support matters.

Remember you get what you pay for.  Children like flavored toothpaste. Just make sure that they you are brushing and flossing to get rid of germs that cause gum disease and a host of body ailments. Kids under 2 years of age should not use toothpaste unless recommended by a doctor. Be careful when using whiteners because it can damage teeth enamel with repetitive usage. Toothbrushes should be changed when brushes are worn, after a cold, or every six months. Brushes can be soaked in bleach. Rinse with COLD water. Rinse your mouth and, if you can, floss after every meal. Floss can be purchased for $2 at any retail store and is similar to string that gets the yuck between teeth and saves you many dollars of visits to your dentist.

Do you know what NSAIDS are? Their side effects?
They are drugs such as Advil, Motrin, Aleve, Tylenol, and Aspirin. Yes drugs. Drugs that can be harmful if not taken properly or overly used to reduce pain, fever, or inflammation. Never take these drugs daily unless prescribed by a doctor. The side effects can range between constipation, diarrhea, gas, bloating, dizziness, ringing in the ears to severe effects of stomach/intestine or mouth ulcers, bleeding, or actual holes in the belly, and there is a higher risk of having a heart attack or stroke due to consumption. Seek professional help if you or a family member (teen or adult) is taking such medication on a consistent basis. It doesn't help to mask the pain because you will not be able to detect other abnormal pains or feelings that may become serious if not addressed.
