Let's talk: Secrets for Making Children Want to Read Pt.1

It is an appropriate read for any family. Never read stories to children that you don't enjoy yourself. Don't get too comfortable while reading aloud a new book. You may become drowsy. Don't be surprised if your kids interrupt with a lot of questions. WHYYYYY :) Try to answer his/her questions immediately. One question at a time, this means taking turns if there are more than one child listening. Don't confuse quantity with quality. A shorter story time is better than an inappropriate or hurried time. Don't try to compete with TV. Make certain that the TV is off before your unique household's read-aloud time.
