Dear People of Color: Things I Wish You Knew

If I could write a letter to us--people of color--from a white person it would be as follows: Parental discretion is advised. Dear People of Color: I have been thinking about you, and I wish you knew that White people are really sorry for the events that led to the African slave trade, but we don't know what else we can do to help in culture unison. White people sometimes feel that African Americans would rather be slaves instead of trying in this new economy. We've always been a broke country and, yes, we used Africans to sustain the USA, or you could say that we used Africans for us to remain here instead of returning to Europe. African Americans care way too much about the "correct" behavior of kids, and materialistic things. White people are not originally from here either.  Are any of us, originally, from this country? The USA was a new home for most Native Americans, too. Maybe we were only actually right about segregated schools, and should have ...

Do African Americans Create Their Own Majority Identity?

It is a fact that a majority of African-Americans have this untruth that their racial duty and responsibility is to be strictly defined as "workers" of our many occupations, or "receivers" of anything that is left, that is second best.  They feel some sense of duty or honor with being a part of this unlabeled working order in America. Let's talk: Back-to-School Shopping Tips

Source: chase.com/blueprint All school children (homeschoolers, public/charter schoolers, and private schoolers) need materials and supplies, tools, to perform their best. 1. Set a budget: Inform your child(ren) how much you are willing to spend based on product-category needs. 2. Create a list of needs and wants. 3. Never pay more than you have to. 4. Shop later in the season for discounts. Not every item on your kids' back-to-school list has to be purchased before the first day. What can wait? What needs should be brought during sales? 5. Have a smartphone? Turn your mobile phone into a shopping assistant.  Choose free apps that enable you to get the best deals. You can also scan barcodes to compare prices on the items. 6. Do comparison pre-shopping by search on- and off-line. 7. Avoid using credit cards if you can not pay off within one month. Remember Christmas is coming...
