Let's talk Productive Chores For Families and Businesses
In your unique household: polishing floors, washing windows; changing screens or storm windows; shopping for needed household or seasonal items; cleaning fixtures, copper, etc. Create a new list of family seasonal chores.  Review household rules to see if they are really useful. Are chores age appropriate?

Out of your unique household: planting grass, pulling weeds, planting flowers and shrubbery, etc. Why not design a birdhouse for your neighborhood birds?

Pay bills, taxes, and insurance on time: Make a list of possible ways to cut down on the expenses or operating costs of running a home. It may be cheaper for you to purchase a used or new item for your unique household (i.e., washer and dryer, clothesline, lawn mower, food freezer, etc.) What is family money? What is your personal weekly budget? Create a plan to decrease or eliminate a small debt item, then a large debt item. It is always best to explain to children if you are having financial challenges. Teach habits of sharing (donating), saving, and making purchases. Start small if necessary, seventy-five cents is to a child as a free toll or bus pass is to an adult.

Lastly, all families should consider finances for family fun, hobbies, and gifts.
