Do you allow music of any form to be heard in your home? If so, what kind of music do you allow? Music forms are divided into two classifications: either secular or gospel.
Some faith-believers associate music to Satan: Satan is said to have been the highest director of heaven's music. When God forced him out of heaven and down to earth's low things or dust forever, he knew the beats and melodies of God and Spirit singing--by social cultures, this is said. Personally, I've never read such verses in the bible.
If Satan was that close to God in all things. Then, he knows a lot more than the sounds of music. He knows every form of sound. Satan knows how to talk just the right things to people; he knows how to make his demonic words sound right to get people to do his will. He knows how to bring the wrong sound to one to hear at just the right time, before a blessing. Satan's sound can cause others to follow a very different, destructive path of life experiences.
Next, there is, also, the sounds of negativity. Such consistent sounds can destroy a person's inner humanity, can destroy aspirations and actions of doing morally correct things. To an immature mind--a one-time sound of expressing "you will never be what you want in life."--can cause lack of productive actions of doing, or becoming. The sounds of negativity: do you believe such sounds are truly negative phrases expressed to offend, or actually nagging words so that the person will really do or do to really become? Could there be a generational sound of verbal thoughts in a family line?
For people of African-American identity, it is not uncommon to understand that, in today's music styles, it's best not to have young children around when listening to a favorite radio network. It used to be a time in our history when you could turn on the radio, and young children wouldn't be able to understand the meanings of lyrics. Today's new sounds, after a few song choices that your family enjoys, ugh, yeah what happens? What sound do you hear? "You better turn the radio off or to a different radio station." Right?
Overall, like any other trending thing, make the decision to read the fine print of version choices, or to listen to a sample of a new song before you buy the album or downplay version. Albums are becoming popular again. Most R&B and Rap music producers will create two versions of a song. It is the responsibility of families to purchase their preferred version. And, according to music sales, both versions are still being desired at an equal rate. Such data reveals to me that in order to have much of a consumer's demand, I think some of our very righteous-and-strict faith-believers are listening to the adult-versions, too. Oops. I, also, think music allows people's inner desires to be revealed: I caught you listening and singing to-- or, I saw you on the dance floor dancing to--. Oops again, or instead, should I say let the music play on?

"Music is power and powerful to the Listener."
