Surah II: 139-171 (Holy Quran)/Final discussion of Exodus

Aired 6/27/2011.

Surah II: 139  The Muslim writer is instructing followers of Islam to remind Jews and Christians that we serve the same Lord and continue to do your thing within your religion, and the Muslims will be doing the same.

:140   A question that should not be posed. Only Allah (God) knows...

:141 Passed away means dead in the faith, or not usable to represent the true meaning of a particular faith. You will not be responsible for their sins.

:142 Fools are people who question the events involving Allah.

:146 Males sons are valued in the religious faith

:148 I like this verse. Again, if you are a Jew do you're thing. Do according to your faith's practices. If you are a Christian do your thing. Do your thing of good works to help others.

:150 This verse gives instruction to Islam followers.

:152 Allah is saying I have sent an Apostle to teach, but do not forget Me. Is the Apostle Isa (Jesus)?

:154 People slain in the spirit of Allah should not be talked about after the service, or the next day.

:155 Allah allows tribulations.

:165 objects of worship aka idolatry in Christian language.

:171 ..people who refuse the truth either by seeing, hearing, and understanding it.

The Moving Tabernacle or Sanctuary

There were three parts to the Sanctuary. As you enter, 1) The Gate, 2)Brazen Alter, 3) and Laver.

Holy Place included The Door, Golden Lamp stand, or the 7 Lamp stand on one side. Jews still use the 7 lamp stand for Hanukkah, Table Show bread on the other side, and Altar Incense.

Holy of Holiness included the Ark, and the Mercy Seat.

A veil separated the Holy Place from the Holy of Holies.  The Sanctuary looked liked a modern day large tent that was decorated with fine linen with smoke coming from it, and smoke from the Brazen Altar. The 12 tribes lived in smaller tents surrounding it.  The first census reported there was 603,550 citizens. Each tribe was identified by a unique symbol and was divided in to three tribes groupings. There were four sets of housing for each three set group:

On the North side was Asher, Dan, and Naphtali.        Symbol: Golden Eagle
On the South side Gad, Reuben, and Simeon.              Symbol: Man on field of Gold
On the East side Issachar, Judah, and Zebulon             Symbol: Lion
On the West side Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh   Symbol: Black Onyx

This concludes our discussion of the Book of Exodus found in the Holy Bible.
Does your family have a symbol that represents your family bonding pride?
