Over and over again, we rally; we protest; we debate. Is this a form of cultural hypnosis so that we, natural born citizens of this country, won't participate in newness?
An example, we say we are for immigrants coming to our country, but what is the first thing that we do? We grab their children and place them into our world of normalcy of how we believe we should treat strangers. Is this yet another form of hypnosis? Then, we start to verbalize: "Yeah we're all for immigration." Why haven't we really resolved the immigration crisis? Or, to avoid our own country's social issues, many citizens will show more actions of love to immigrants than to natural born citizens of this country.
We allow our leaders to make laws for us that, here recently, get overturned during each presidential administration. I realize that we live in a democracy and that our democratic actions are to rally, protest, and debate--really, should it be over the same social topics again and again? How quickly do local communities forget? We allow our brilliant thoughts to illume, to lighten the pathway of quick democracy, only to be comfortable in the consistency of the dark surroundings of our country's social issues.
Have you ever considered that you may not be living as productively as possible, in the now of modern social realities? Often people who are not living their best life will use outdated mannerisms to try to persuade people to their ways of evaluating how they see the world; how they would like to command the world to be. Socially, in America, for many decades we didn't discuss openly topics of government, religion, politics, or television. Societies just simply listened to leaders and followed along. Many leaders failed our ancestors. So ancestors, in turn, taught how to not value leadership so much. Now we have generations who are unfamiliar with being led.
People of all ethnicities, of various local communities, have expressed their frustrations of being tired of the same old, same old: in actuality, tired of the patterns of the cycles of social life within their cultural environments. What situation fantasies, if any, of your self, do you ever role play in your mind? of others? for others? Do you ever get tired of dreaming of a better world?
We know that many social clicks and landscapes have been around for a very long time. Are we learning that our foundations are not as secure as we once thought? Overall, we can't simply allow people to make decisions for us anymore. We must take part in the outcomes. I believe that those former experiences of cultural hypnosis are over because simply there are just too many people within our country, within our social-economic classes that are much different than our yesterdays. There are too many things that are happening around us that old social clicks can't dictate. And, also, there are many more forms of religious and political views that are shaping the direction of American values.
